Milky Way
I remember the first time in school studying the stars and the universe and I literally got lost in the idea of all of it. I was so fascinated by how ‘big’ it all was and compared to our tiny little worlds in front of us is all we see.
This perspective is actually what started pushing me out of my comfort zone, realizing there’s a bigger picture, rather than my little world as I saw it. And now, to this day when I get stuck in my head of my own little inner world, I just lay under the stars and my anxious thoughts start to dissipate.
I’m telling you this because I get asked what inspires me. And honestly, it can be difficult to explain other than the world around me inspires the art I create. My paintings are translations of my whole life leading up to this very moment and what I create. It’s the idea of everything having a ripple effect in our lives and bringing us to the present moment of the here and now.
I don’t paint, write or share for you to understand me. I just create and share. I put out my little weirdness in the word for you to think and feel your own feels. But of course I’m always interested to hear your take on how my art makes you feel.
