Brilliance in Solitude
This year put us all in a position to be more isolated, sit with discomfort and find out what’s important to us.
As an artist I’m no stranger to spending hours, or sometimes solid days by myself. I find the beauty of time sitting with my thoughts, going in the depth of exploring truth and my own inner world. And as I’m creating I bring all of those feels into creating my art.
Although I like my time spent alone, I thoroughly enjoy spending time with people I love and time spent in the mountains. That is where I find the most inspiration and this year has denied much of that for a lot of us.
The mountains are a place where I can go and feel a sense of peace and tranquility without feeling the loneliness that solitude can sometimes bring. The neat thing about being an artist is that I can bring my imagination into creating my own little escape and get captivated by each detail of the natural world.
So much thought, moments of reflection and intention went into creating the magic of Mt Baker with the white pasqueflowers upfront ‘Brilliance in Solitude’. I hope your eyes enjoy!
